FETTE, JIM Age 78, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1996, died on Good Friday, April 18, 2014 and went to be with his Lord. He is survived by his loving wife, Melody Fette; sisters, Bernadine Fette of Albuquerque and Julie Kay Redmond of Texas; children, James J. Fette II of San Francisco, CA, Mary Elizabeth Fette of Destin, FL, and William David Fette of Oakland, CA; granddaughter, Megan Fette of Berkley, CA; six nieces and nephews; and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Lorraine Fette; and sister, Mary Jo Stiles. He was born in 1935 in Tulsa, OK and graduated from Marquette High School and attended the University of Tulsa where he served in the Air Force National Reserves for eight years. Jim started to work at Exxon Oil Company and retired from BP Oil as a Systems Analyst in 1990. After moving to Albuquerque, Jim worked for FRENCH - Funerals and Cremations as a Funeral Associate and Driver where he truly enjoyed serving others. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Edgewood, which he also helped to build. Jim always had a smile on his face and brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. As per Jim's wishes, cremation will take place and a Memorial Service celebrating Jim's life will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at FRENCH Wyoming with Pastor Phil Spomer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Grief Center of New Mexico, 3001 Trellis Dr. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
