JOHNSON, JACQUELINE F. of Albuquerque, passed away April 11, 2014, after a short illness. Jacqueline was born in Buffalo, New York, On October 5, 1925. She lived in Albuquerque more than 60 years. She was one of the original "Harvey Girls"; having worked at the Fred Harvey Kachina Room for over 18 years. Jacqueline later finished her working career with the concession of local telephone companies beginning with Mountain Bell and finally for Qwest. In retirement, she was an avid and enthusiastic volunteer docent for The Maxwell Museum and the Tijeras branch of The U.S. Forest Service. She was the devoted mother to her four children: Renee Lightle (who preceded her in death) of Albuquerque, and her surviving children, Chris Whitman and Michele Templin, both of Albuquerque, Carl "Skip" Whitman of Grants, and Michael "Mickey" Johnson of Placitas. Jacqueline is also survived by a brother and sister in New York; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many dear friends and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Maxwell Museum or The US Forest Service in memory and honor of our beloved Jacqueline Johnson.
