Soon she became an Air Force bride. In 1955 the couple moved to California to begin what was to be a 35 year sojourn. Trudy completed her degree at U.C. Santa Cruz and enjoyed working as a travel agent for a number of years. They moved back to New Mexico in 1990 as retirees. She made many, many good friends easily. To know her was to love her. Survivors include her husband; son, Ben (Laurie) Akron, NY; son, Brad (Gaby) Orinda, CA; and daughter Janine (David) Davis, CA. A daughter Gayle died in 2010. Also surviving are ten grandchildren. Others include her brother, Fred Johnson (Shirley); uncle Wentworth Brown; and cousin Doug Carter (Betty Jo), all of Albuquerque.
