HERRERA, RAMONA age 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 9, 2014 with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Herrera is survived by her children, Maryellen Herrera, Lydia Duran, and Ron Herrera and wife, Audrey; sisters, Betty Tenorio and husband, Henry, Eufemia Lucero and husband, Candido, Nora Zamora and husband, Robert, Joyce Garcia, Patsy Tenorio and husband, Anthony, Theresa Barela and husband, Felix, Odette Anaya and husband, Phil; brothers, Bob Chavez and wife, Canda, Lincoln Chavez and wife, Josephine; her aunt, Bernice Trujillo and husband, Albert; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Herrera was preceded in death by her husband, Gavino; son, Reverend Ed Herrera; brother, Eutimio (Tootsie) Chavez; and parents, Tony, Elena and Florinda. Mrs. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church, Altar Society, R.C. I. A. and Small Christian Communities. Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., presider will be Abbot Joel Garner O. Praem. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Chavez, Daniel Tenorio, Wayne Lucero, Eric Zamora, Stephen Tenorio and Aaron Barela.
