MONTOYA, MARGARET C. Margaret "Maggie" C. Montoya, passed away peacefully at her home in Albuquerque at 8:30 in the AM on Christmas eve. A long time resident of Cuba, NM, she was born Sept. 2nd, 1922 to Victor and Faustina Casados in Jemez. She married Louis Montoya on June 14th 1943, who preceded her in death Feb. 11th, 1994. She had two sons, Robert Louis Montoya who preceded her in death in August of 2012, and is survived by Michael Montoya and three daughters, Esther, who is wife of Richard Melograno, Elizabeth Montoya, and Margaret Allen. Maggie is also survived by five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A seamstress and dedicated Catholic daughter she will always be remembered as gifted cook and nobody who sat at her table was ever in need of a warm tortilla with chili. The services will be held at Queen of Heaven at 5311 Phoenix Ave in Albuquerque on Thursday, Jan 2nd. Rosary at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10:00, reception and viewing. Interment is at 3:00 at the Nat'l Cemetery in Santa Fe where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
