WRIGHT, ALAN JEAN Alan, Age 61, passed away on November 20, 2013. Alan was preceded in death by his father, Jean Alan Wright, mother, Joan Rousseau Wright, his brother, Jerry, and his brother-in-law Jim Johnson. Alan was born in Albuquerque on June 12, 1952. Alan graduated from Highland High School in 1970, attended UNM, and completed a Carpenter Apprenticeship Program. Alan was employed as a superintendent for Baker Construction for many years and recently by Gerald Martin until he retired in 2012. Alan was a creative and talented wood worker taking great pleasure and pride in crafting many beautiful gifts for his family and friends. Alan was a gifted musician. Alan had an inventive mind which served him well as a construction superintendent and as a human being. He had a quirky and robust sense of humor. Alan loved his dog Freckles and said that she was "the best dog that ever owned me". Alan is survived by his wife, Debi; son, Asa; sister, Jacque Wright and husband Bill Rombin; sisters, Carol Johnson and Susy Wright; brother-in-law Gregory Hicks; nephew David Johnson and wife Grace; nephews Tyler and Eli Hicks-Wright; niece Rebecca Giron and husband CJ; nieces Ali Hicks-Wright and Shawna Coen. Alan was dearly loved by his family and friends and he will be missed. Cremation has occurred. A private memorial is scheduled.
