PICKARD, RONALD KAWIKA left this earth for a better place on November 21, 2013. Ron was born on August 30, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and has resided in Albuquerque since 1984. He is survived by his parents Ken and Renee Pickard; his uncles Lee Pickard and Chuck DeLany (Georgia); aunts Karen Pickard and Chris Houghtaling (Pat); many cousins and friends. Ron bravely fought battles with brain tumors for over 30 years and set an example of how to live a full and inspirational life in spite of many obstacles. He was happiest serving his community by volunteering as a docent at the Albuquerque Zoological Park, teaching visitors about his beloved animals. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Ron's life will be planned for the spring of 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the New Mexico BioPark Society, 903 10th St. SW, 87102.
