GARCIA, BILLY A. Billy A. Garcia, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2013. He was born Anton Chico, NM on Apr 6, l928 to Cliodo Garcia and Doloritas Gallegos Garcia. Billy was the 9th of l0 children: Clodio, Elosia, Emelia, Ponciana l9l5, Ponciana l9l6, Abrama, Levorio, Robert, and niece Viola. He is survived by siblings Robert Garcia, and numerous nephews, nieces, great nieces, and great nephews. Billy is preceded in death by his lifelong companion of 3l years, Doris Baker. He retired from the US Army after serving 2l years. He spent most of his military years in Europe, primarily Germany. He enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. After retirement he made his home in Albuquerque where he worked for K-Mart as manager of the warehouse. He spent a lot of time with his best friend and nephew, Eloy Sanchez. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, and gambling in various casinos in Albuquerque, but mainly at the Sandia Casino where he met friends and family for lunch. The Rosary will be Monday, Dec 2, at 6:30PM, at the Chapel at Daniel's Funeral Home on Wyoming NE. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Dec. 3 at St. Mary's Church in Vaughn, NM at l0:00AM followed burial at Evergreen Cemetery, then a reception at the City Hall.
