ALFARO, MARIA F. Loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Abran and Concepcion Alderete. Maria adored her family and loved spending time with them. She is preceded in death by husband Luis Alfaro; sons Claude and David Alfaro; daughter Gloria Alfaro; brother Pete Alderete; and sisters Estella de Luna and Sofia Acosta. Maria is survived by daughter Jennie Martinez and husband Ofemiano; son Joe Alfaro and wife Diane; brothers Juan Alderete, Salvador Alderete and Fred Alderete; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; seven great- great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.Visitations will take place at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd SW, Monday, December 2, 2013 from 9:00 am. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated following at the church 10:00 am. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Martinez, Jose Alfredo Martinez, Joseph Alfaro, Nick Kabella, Jason Gallegos and Antonio Valdez. Maria will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
