CORDOVA, ISIDORO LEROY 1946 - 2013 Leroy Cordova, age 66 passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 20, 2013 at his home in Albuquerque. He was born December 15, 1946 in Vadito, NM in Taos County. His parents were Lauriano Cordova and Manuelita Cordova. He received his education at New Mexico School for the Visually Handicapped in Alamogordo, NM. He attended New Mexico State University. His career started as a tax examiner with the IRS in New Orleans. He returned to Albuquerque in 1980, to work for the Federation for the Blind. It was here that he met the love of his life, Ruth Yvonne Cordova and her daughter, Alicia. On August 24, 2002 they were married. Leroy started a new career in 1990 as an Agent for NM Child Support Services. He worked there for 20 years until his retirement in 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Yvonne Cordova; his daughters: Alicia McKeog (Donald), Jodi Lee Kirtland (Steve); brothers: Clarence Cordova (Irene); Gustavo Cordova (Diane); Joe Dale Cordova (Maria), and sister-in-law, Wilma Cordova. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Lauriano and Manuelita Cordova; and a brother, Acorsinio Cordova. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Holy Family Church located at 562 Atrisco Drive SW in Albuquerque. Funeral Mass will be held the following day at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church.
