OTERO, HOPE IRENE "BAMBA" was born July 2, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2013. Bamba will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with her family. Bamba was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Chavez. She is survived by her loving husband, Cruz; her son, Robert Chavez; grandson, Brandon; two brothers, Orlando and Dennis Chavez; three sisters, Yvonne, Joanne and Gloria; Cruz' family, Veronica, Helen, Lorraine, Lourdes, Chapo, Fernie, Ricky, Danny, Leroy and Dino; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly. Memorial Services will be held at Tower Road Baptist Church, 601 86th St. NW. (near Central and 86th) on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Epifanio Mendez officiating.
