STANHOPE, NATALIE JANE MCCALL passed away peacefully on July 12, 2013, after a long illness, she was 88. She was born in Woodston, Kansas to Henry and Emma McCall, on May 12, 1925. She met John Stanhope in 1939, they married on December 24, 1942 in Bremerton, WA. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. They moved from Ellsworth, Kansas to Los Alamos, NM in 1951 and lived in Los Alamos and White Rock then moved to Albuquerque in 1995. Natalie worked at the Los Alamos Medical Center for ten years, she retired when her husband retired from the Zia Company. She volunteered for the Los Alamos Hospital Auxiliary for many years after retirement. They traveled extensively across the U.S. and Canada. She also enjoyed a cruise to Jamaica, trips to Hawaii and Alaska. She loved to cook, sew, needlepoint, crochet, and 3D French Art pictures. She attended many Arts & Crafts Shows in the Jemez and Los Alamos areas, including the New Mexico State Fair where she received Blue Ribbons on her work. She loved her family very much, and was so proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to watch movies, play games like Tripoley and play bridge with groups in Los Alamos and Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emma McCall; brother, Walt; her sisters, Mildred and Betty. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Sondra (husband Dave Mollohan); daughter Cathy; son, Craig (wife Wanda); her grandchildren, David, Laura, Travis and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Michel, Kami and Kaitlin; brothers, Don (wife Joanne) and Bob (wife Edna); special nephews and relatives, Jim and Vanetta Anderson; Steve and Trinh Keirns; Larry and Carol Stanhope; Merna, Ron, Bonnie Stanhope; Cynthia, Kent and Linnette McCall; Cher and Steve; Naomi; also other nephews, nieces and cousins and her loving dog - Sweetie. A memorial will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 4:00pm at The Village of Alameda, 8810 Horizon Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. A private service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or gifts please send donations made under Natalie Stanhope to the New Mexico Heart Institute Foundation and Animal Humane Association of New Mexico. Natalie said before her passing " I have lived a wonderful life, and have such a wonderful family". May you rest in peace Natalie - God Bless
