SANCHEZ, WILLIAM L. Age 98, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was born August 6, 1914, in Bernalillo, NM, son of Epigpmenio and Josepha (Lucero) Sanchez. He was a retired welder from U.S. Steelworkers of America. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II on the USAT General M. M. Patrick. He also served with the Department of the Army Transportation Corps, Civilian Marine Service. William was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the widower of Adelina (Olguin) Sanchez. He is survived by two daughters, Isabelle Diane Berger and her husband Jack of Camp Hill, PA, and Anita V. Sanchez of Camp Hill, PA; four grandchildren: Lisa Snyder and her husband Jeff of New Freedom, PA, Jonathan Edwards and his fiancee Melanie Logan of Laurel, MD, Melissa Sabot and her husband Scott of Atlanta, GA, and Brian Edwards of Hershey, PA; and five great-grandchildren: Amanda Snyder, Emily Snyder, Michael Snyder, and Matthew Snyder of New Freedom, PA, and Rhett Sabot of Atlanta, GA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Good Shepherd Church, 3435 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA, with The Reverend Paul C. Helwig as celebrant. Inurnment with military honors will be held in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, ATTN: Donor Services, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Stone & Murray Funeral Home, 408 3rd Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070, is handling arrangements.
