GONZALES, TOMASITA (ARAGON) Our hearts are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother Tommie on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. She was born March 9, 1926 in Socorro, NM to Herminio and Josefita Aragon. She spent her early life in Socorro, NM and graduated from Socorro High School. Tommie was married to Jose Leon "Leo" Gonzales for 67 years. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Albuquerque where they raised six children, Ron (Lila) Gonzales of Phoenix, AZ, Larry (Susan) Gonzales of Tucson, AZ, Mary Vigil of Albuquerque, Chuck Gonzales of Dallas, TX, Joe (Louise) Gonzales of Albuquerque and Judi Darling of Chandler, AZ. Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales are the grandparents of 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Tommie is also survived by many extended family members including sisters, Mary Romero and Kathy Trujillo and brother, John Aragon, all of Albuquerque. She was predeceased by brothers, Joe Aragon, Matias Aragon, Herminio (Sonny) Aragon, Manuel Aragon, and Raymond Aragon; and sisters, Patsy Jiron and Josephine Romero. Tommie will be remembered for her love of music and her contagious sense of humor. Rosary will be recited Monday, July 8, 2013, 6:30 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013, 10:00 a.m., also at FRENCH - Wyoming. Mass will be celebrated at a later date. The family would like to express special gratitude to Ron and Louise Espinoza and Roger and Kay Ward for their dedication to our mother's care over the years.
