SNYDER, FRED WILLIAM JR. age 70, of Ishpeming, MI, passed away on Fri., June 21, 2013 at his home while under the loving care of his family & UP Home Health & Hospice. Fred was born December 18, 1942 in Lansing, MI to the late Fred W. and Hazel (Wolford) Snyder. Fred served his country in the United States Navy serving from 1960 until 1969. Fred lived and worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico most of his life, working for the Bernalillo County Sheriffs Department as a deputy retiring in 1989. Fred enjoyed archery, hunting, fishing and watching "Westerns". He moved to Ishpeming in 2005 moved away in 2009 and returned to Ishpeming in April 2013. Fred is survived by three children: Christine Snyder, Sheryl Orcutt and Fred Snyder III; and his care giver Pamela Jenkins, all of Ishpeming; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a half sister Janice Barrett of Sault Ste Marie, MI; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
