STOMP, SUZANNE EMILY (OUR PEANUT) was granted her golden angel wings on June 12, 2013, after a lifelong challenge resulting from a complex congenital heart defect. She went to be with the Lord in the arms of her parents at the time of her death. Suzanne (aka "nails") was the strongest and toughest person we have ever met. Even though she spent many days battling against the odds, it seemed she was always more concerned with the well being of those around her, especially her twin sister Lindsay. Suzanne always referred to Lindsay as "my best friend ever had." Suzanne and her sister Lindsay joined us prematurely on September 19, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM, where her battle against the odds began. From that day forward, we knew that we were merely along for the ride, as Suzanne would pilot us on a journey that would change our lives forever. The value of Suzanne's contribution to this world cannot be measured in how long she lived, but more from the immense love she brought to those she came in contact with each and every day. Throughout her short life, she touched so many people in such a myriad of ways. Ranging from her sweet disposition to her beautiful smile and we can't leave out her "HUGS" she was capable of turning any day into a great day in an instant. We can't tell you how many times we heard from total strangers that Suzanne "made their day" with her sweet, caring personality. Suzanne's death reminds us to celebrate life every day, as it is a precious gift that can be taken away in an instant. We know that we must celebrate her life and treasure the moments we spent in her presence because she was truly a gift and we were honored to be her parents and share in her journey. We will miss you every day for the rest of our lives. Suzanne most enjoyed spending time playing with her sister Lindsay. When not playing with Lindsay, she loved reading her many sets of flash cards, learning to read and write on her iPad, playing with Chunk and Spud, watching Disney channel, painting, eating soupa loupa, and spending time with her friends at school. Suzanne was fortunate enough to visit Disneyworld from a wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Mexico. At Disneyworld she met her favorite Disney characters, Minnie Mouse, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider and everyday was "the best day ever had." She also enjoyed many other activities including horse therapy with her favorite horse Nellie, swim lessons, adaptive taekwondo or just going to the park to play on the jungle gym. Suzanne is survived by her loving parents, Shawn and Stefanie Stomp of Albuquerque; her twin sister Lindsay Stomp; her paternal grandparents Milt and Carol Stomp of Albuquerque; her maternal grandparents George and Karin Duda of Albuquerque; and her many aunts, uncles and cousins.
