NORDYKE, MARYANN ZINN born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 7, 2013. She graduated Cum Laude from Western Women's College, and also attended Goucher College. Maryann was a patron of the arts and throughout her life contributed greatly to her community. Maryann had several articles published in magazines such as the Lapidary Journal; most recently she contributed to the anthology: Turning Points in Women's Lives. She wrote for the La Vida Llena newsletter and loved playing bridge with her dear friends. Maryann designed and created jewelry with her husband. These original creations were featured in several art shows here in Albuquerque and also in Santa Fe. Maryann was a longtime member of the Junior League, the Assistance League, and was a Docent at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. Maryann passed away eleven days after her beloved husband, Bill Nordyke. It is believed by her family that she died of a broken heart. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to La Vida Llena Full Life Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
