DUNKIN, AULTY R. "MUTT" was born on January 8, 1928 in Heavener, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the age of 85. After leaving Oklahoma in 1947 he went to California and was soon drafted into the Army. He served a two year assignment in Ft. Benning, Georgia and upon honorable discharge, settled in Flagstaff, Arizona where he met and married his wife, of 61 years, Josephine. He started a family and a career in the local lumber industry and in 1966 moved to Albuquerque. After a 40 year lumber industry career he retired from Duke City Lumber Company in 1990. He spent his retirement years enjoying family, hunting, fishing, sports, and helping people in the neighborhood. Mutt will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; two sons, Sam, Gary and wife, Karen; two sisters, Melba Holsomback, Dorothy Law-McCalister and husband, Claudie; three grandchildren, Zachary and wife, Chris, Dustin and wife, Kei Kei and granddaughter Nicole; one great-grandchild, Devon; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity. Services will be held at Direct Funeral Services Chapel, 2919 4th St. N.W. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. N.E. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 343-8008.
