TAFOYA, FRANK November 28, 1952 - January 16, 2013 Devoted husband, son, father, brother, uncle and friend Frank Tafoya left us on January 16, 2013. He was a proud Vietnam veteran who loved God and Country. In recent years his passion was to serve as Commander and Department Chaplain of American Legion Post #99 for two terms, earning the respect of his fellow Legion members. He is survived by his wife Amoreena; son Edward and granddaughter Kylie; his Mom Marci; and brothers Richard, Tom, Harry, Gerard, Larry, Paul and families. He was preceded in death by his father Richard, and his brother Stephen. He had many Navy friends-too many to mention. Other close relatives were Auntie Margaret and Dale Neece, Aunt Cecilia and Rey Rivera, Uncle Tom and Claudia Padilla. From day one, his Mom reassured him that we are all in this together and that God takes the pain and suffering. He fought hard in Vietnam and in life, and was a true warrior to the end. Services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013, at 11:15 AM at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe with full military honors. Following interment, a celebration of Frank's life will be held at American Legion Post #99, 540 Louisiana NE Albuquerque, NM. Special thanks to the staff at the Veterans Administration hospital in Albuquerque, Ward 4D.
