BLAKELY, WAYNE MARCUS passed away peacefully on January 1, 2013 at the age of 55 years. Born on September 27, 1957, Wayne was a life long resident of New Mexico and had resided in the East Mountains for most of his adult life. Wayne was a 1975 graduate of Valley High School in Albuquerque. He was a highly accomplished carpenter and craftsman and took great pride in creating beautiful works. He left behind many examples of his craftsmanship that his family and friends will enjoy for years to come. Wayne had a love of history and fishing. He was preceded in death by his sister Sharon and his father Garry. Wayne is survived by his mother Marilyn Lake; his brother Stuart and wife Ruth; his aunt Louise Hardy; many cousins, nieces, nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and his beloved cat Concha who was his constant companion. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 11th at 3:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church at 215 Locust Street NE, Albuquerque, NM.
