NEHER, LINDA passed away suddenly on November 28, 2012. She was born to Horace and Mary Gillette on March 5, 1946 in Albuquerque and married the love of her life, Kenneth "Gene" Neher on August 30, 1962. This year they celebrated their 50th anniversary with a long dreamed-of vacation through the Canadian Rockies. Linda held a variety of jobs over the years in health care and retail sales. She was a genuinely friendly person who enjoyed customer service. Her favorite job, however, was as a homemaker, mother and wife. Ken is a retired Albuquerque police officer and Linda retired also in 1998. Ken and Linda loved the outdoors and spent many happy days camping and fishing. Linda enjoyed gardening and was an avid bird watcher. She was very happy in their forested home in Edgewood where they moved in 2005. Linda is survived by her husband Ken Neher, of Edgewood; sons Ron Neher and his wife Chris of Austin, TX and Cory Neher and fianc Tammy of Edgewood; grandchildren Mallory and Grace Neher of Austin, TX and Jacob and Hannah Neher of Marion, IA; and cousins Mae and George Morley and Bob Clark of Hesperus, CO. Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Neher. The family will memorialize Linda in the Spring by scattering her ashes at Molas Lake, Colorado, per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda's name to breast cancer research.
