SUAREZ, JOSE Age 73, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012. Jose was a longtime Albuquerque resident. He was born on October 29, 1939 in San Benito, TX but was raised in Minatare, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents Vidal and Adela Suarez of Minatare, NE. He was the oldest of ten brothers and sisters. Jose has three children from a previous marriage, daughter Cindy and husband Lex Lesinger of Montgomery, AL, son David Suarez and wife Leslie of Athens, GA and daughter Lisa McVay of Montgomery, AL. Jose is also survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Veronica Suarez; son Joe Suarez and wife Francine; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his dog Sammy who he loved dearly. Jose served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 where he was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base. Jose joined the Albuquerque Fire Department in 1964 and served 22 years, he retired as a Lieutenant in 1986. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 9:00am at Holy Family Parish, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW; a burial service will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
