PETTY, MILDRED E. (MILLIE) Age 93, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2012 in Albq., NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl "Dude" Petty and parents Fred and Julia Rogers; brothers, William (Ellen), John; sisters, Irene, Margaret (Carl). She is survived by daughter, Patti Howe; grandchildren Julie (Kenny), Bobby (Thuy), Koni Daffara and seven great-grandchildren, all from San Diego. Also, many wonderful friends and relatives in Columbus, Ohio, San Diego and Albuquerque. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 26, 1918. Widely known for her extraordinary needlework, European Christmas Cookies, jams and jellies (the Jelly Lady). An avid bridge and scrabble player. Remembered fondly for her words of wisdom and positive attitude which helped her maintain a long and healthy life. There will be a Celebration of Life at Greenbriar Townhouses Community Room, 1212 Nakomis Dr NE, Albq, on Saturday, November 17th, 2012 between 2-4pm. For directions please call Patti @ 340-4407.
