ULIBARRI, JOANNA M. Age 58, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, and native of Alameda, entered into the arms of the Lord on October 11, 2012 with her loved ones near. She was born on February 7, 1954 to Jesus and Juanita Montoya. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bob; children, Elaine and husband, Jeff, and Alex; grandchildren, Dylan, Abigayle, and Lucciano; brother, Mike Montoya; sisters, Elicia Ynguanzo, Bert Martinez and husband, Pete, Norma Maez and husband Pat, and Betty Gonzales and husband, Ray; brothers-in law, Johnny Ulibarri and wife Garilyn, Frank Ulibarri and wife Nancy, Ted Ulibarri and wife, Nancy; sister-in-law, Cathy Dominguez and husband, Mike, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Joanna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jose Montoya and his wife Theresa, and her aunts Carol Aguilar and Nora Carter. She was born and raised in the Alameda area of the north valley of Albuquerque. She was a lifelong member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She was proud of her involvement in the Marriage Enrichment program at church and her membership with The Catholic Daughters of America. Joanna was a dedicated volunteer and advocate of the Vietnam Veterans of America. She was named Associate Member of the Year for Region 9 three times. She will always be remembered for her quick wit, incredible sense of humor, loving personality, and strong faith. Above all her family was her greatest love, especially her grandbabies who affectionately called her "Bummy". They were the light of her life. Joanna will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving her and they will think of her every time they hear a good joke. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 9:00 a.m., also at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Joanna will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery Thursday at 2:15 p.m. following the church service.
