ROMERO, BERTHA B. Age 80, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Mrs. Romero is survived by her children, Cynthia Macias and husband, Gilbert, Monica Gonzales, and Dominic Romero and wife, Frederica; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Louisa (Mary Lou) Martinez and husband, Joe and Loretta Narrell; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, godchildren, and friends. Mrs. Romero was preceded in death by her husband, Juan C. Romero Jr.; grandson, Mario Alvarez; son-in-law, Joe Gonzales; brother, Teofilo Baca; and brother-in-law, Jim Narrell. Mrs. Romero retired from the University of New Mexico after twenty years of service and enjoyed going to the casinos during her retirement years.
