GARCIA, VIRGINIA C. entered this world on December 22, 1938 and quietly departed September 15, 2012. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend. As she traveled through history, she reveled in the rocking 50's, held her children close through the turbulent 60's and 70's, and led them to succeed during the disco era. Her love of travel led her from Puerto Rico, and Washington DC through California. She was traditional, calm, passionate, social, and loved by family and friends. Her heavenly family awaits her arrival: parents Fidel and Beatriz, siblings Carmen, Carlos, Fidel, Armando and daughter Juanita. She is survived by her sister, Tede; children, Anthony, Luisa, Juan and Roberta, grandchildren DiAndre, Santiago, AJ, Antonia, Reece and Paul and extended family Margaret, Eddie, Rick, Maria, Blanca, Christina and Tawnee and Pete and numerous nieces and nephews. She lived a full life complete with laughter and sorrow. Memorial services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Riverside Funeral Home 225 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque, NM. On Saturday, September 29, 2012 she will be laid to rest in Ortiz, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA.
