FRICKE -- MARIA CARMEN Age 88, was called home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2012. Maria was born in Okay Owingeh (San Juan), NM in 1924. She worked in Los Alamos where she met her husband and became a devoted military wife traveling the world with her husband during his 32 years of military service. They were married for 63 years. She retired from the U.S. Army Exchange System after 20 years of service. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo, going to the casino and taking care of her rose bushes. She was devoted to her church and attended Mass daily. She was preceded her in death by her husband, Marcellus, in April 2011 and her son, Frank, in 2000. She is survived by her son, Mark and daughter, Deborah and husband, Ed Dunlap as well as their grandchildren, Jeffrey, Juli and Shaughn, David and Frankie; great-grandchild ren, Alexa, Zane, Madeline, Olivia, Audrey, Frankie and Natalia. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
