FRANTZ -- CARL M. Age 92, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2012. He was born on November 5, 1919, in Clinton, IN to Joseph and Izora Frantz. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Jane, and is survived by his daughters, Gay Hill, Laurie Carpenter and husband Mike; two grandsons, Chris Hill and wife Carol, and David Hill; and two great grandsons, Christopher and Caleb Hill. Carl was a devoted and caring husband and father and will be greatly missed. Carl joined the Army Air Corps as a cadet in January 1942 following Pearl Harbor, and after receiving his commission in March 1943, served as an aviation officer in the European Theatre of Operations during World War II. He later earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Mexico and enjoyed a 32 year career with Sandia National Laboratories, retiring in 1982. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Bill Willis, Marsha and the staff of Buena Vista Senior Care for their dedicated care and support.
