MEIER -- ROBERT "BOB" G. Age 79, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 11, 2012. In 1932, Bob was born in Lyman, NB where he graduated high school in 1951. He went on to earn his degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska in 1961. He is survived by his longtime companion, Hannelore "Lore"; daughter, Deborah Meier; son David Meier and his wife Sheryl; grandchildren, Rici, Johnelle, D.J., and Ben. Bob was preceded in death by his youngest son, Dale Meier. He is also survived by Lore's daughters, Diane Agarwal and Denise Muehe; Lore's grandchildren, Ria H., Neel, Miranda, and Matthew. Bob served for four years in the Navy on an aircraft carrier in the 1950's and retired from Sandia National Labs. He spent many joyful hours caring for all of the wonderful wildlife on his property, including bears, deer, raccoons, and squirrels. Per Bob's wishes, a private family gathering will be held.
