VILLEGAS -- DAVID MARTIN Entered this world to David Villegas Sr. and Celestina Silva on November 27, 1924 in Las Vegas NM. He exited this world after completing his journey on earth July 20, 2012 and entered into eternal life to be reunited with his loving wife Eloisa; his parents; sisters Jane Oakey and Margaret Duran; and his grandson Davi Villegas. David is survived by his brother Manuel Villegas of Santa Fe, NM and his nine children: Carol Saiz, Gina Chavez, David Villegas III, Paul Steven Villegas, Joseph Villegas, Theresa Garcia, Dianne Patricia Villegas, Mona Lisa Aragon, and Mark Anthony Villegas and spouses. David had 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. He had several step-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. David served in the United States Navy for four years during WW2. He was a gunners mate third class, USN 11-Dec. 1941-18 Dec. 1945 USS Maryland BB-46, he spent most of that time in the South Pacific. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, July 25, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Riverside Chapel, 225 San Mateo NE. Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover SW, Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:00 am, followed by burial at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 2:00 pm with full Military honors. Pallbearers: Hemming Saiz, Marty Chavez, Travis Chavez, Andrew Garcia, Logan Coniglio, and Ryan Villegas. Honorary pallbearers: Martin Aragon, Isaac Saiz, Steven Villegas, Travis Villegas, Malakai Torres and Rainah Maria Eloisa Garcia (Bruja).
