MARTINEZ -- THERESA F. (TERRY) born December 3, 1949, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 21, 2012. Theresa is survived by her daughter Sara Romero, and husband, Nick Wechselberger; mother, Julia Martinez; brother, Sammy Martinez; sisters, Rosemary Martinez, and Ramona Martinez; father of her daughter, Frank Romero; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Terry was a graduate of Rio Grande High School, class of 1967, and received her Masters Degree in education in 1997. Theresa was a dedicated teacher, working at Ernie Pyle Middle School and School on Wheels High School and retired from Albuquerque Public Schools after twenty five years of service. For many years she was active in the community through food ministries. Theresa was also an outstanding dancer with Baila Folklorico for several years and enjoyed numerous sports, outdoor activities, a healthy lifestyle and yoga. Theresa was deeply religious and spiritual; her life was a gift of spirit to all those who knew her. Visitation will be Tuesday, July, 24, 2012 from 6:30 until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Final visitation will be Wednesday July 25, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at the Church.
