YEAGER -- AILEEN Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on May 30, 2012 in her adopted home of Albuquerque, NM. Aileen was 80 years young and lived her life fully until she passed. A fancy dresser and style maven Aileen loved going shopping to second hand stores with her beloved and dedicated daughter Kathleen. Aileen Florence Landsberg was raised in Cleveland where she married Donald Yeager and started a family. After her husband died, she raised and supported her daughter and two sons, Kim and Scott, by working in as a secretary for the Cleveland Newspaper Publishers Association and at the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper. After she retired from the Plain Dealer, she and her daughter opened a resale-consignment clothing store called Ritzy Rags in Lakewood, OH. When she closed that business, she moved to Albuquerque to be with her daughter. She became enchanted by the New Mexico style and adapted to it with new Southwestern and Indian styles. She was a regular at Kraemer family volleyball and was a dedicated fan of the Shysters softball team. She was a valued member of the Highland Harmonizers singing group and the Red Hats. She was the eldest Buffalo Gal and was cherished by that gang of women. Aileen is survived by her son Kim Yeager, Scott and Cindy Yeager; grandson Christopher Yeager and wife Angela; granddaughter Rochelle; and Kathleen Yeager and husband J. Brent Ricks of Albuquerque. Grateful thanks are given to the AmberCare group for their assistance to Aileen and to her dearest family and friends who were with her when she needed them the most. A private memorial service will be held on Sunday and then a celebration of Aileen's long and fruitful life will be held at the Ricks home at 2835 Trellis NW on Saturday June 9th from 2 to 5 pm. Donations and Remembrances should be sent to the Lung Association of New Mexico.
