KRAUS -- KATHERINE "KAY" M. Born Katherine Antonia Moore on January 13, 1918 in Glidden, TX and passed away peacefully on May 20, 2012 in Grand Junction, CO of complications following surgery. She was preceded in death by husband of 40 years, Dr. William Earl Kraus DVM and brother Dr. Edward Calvin Moore MD. She is survived by four children, William E. (Susi), GA, Linda K. (Don) Crook, CO, Alan E., CO and Carl J. (Ellen), CO; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Kay was an avid genealogist and a frequent volunteer researcher at the Family History Center of the LDS Church in Albuquerque. She volunteered for the Girl Scouts of America and the League of Women Voters. Kay moved to Fruita, CO in 2008 to be close to family where she lived independently until April 2012.
