HAMRICK -- JESSE NIXON III Born on December 10, 1946, died on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at home in Beaumont, CA with his loving wife of 25 years, Linda Burton Lee Hamrick, by his side, after a valiant battle against pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his son Jesse Nixon Hamrick IV; daughter-in-law Justine (Burgess) Hamrick; grandson Jesse Nixon Hamrick V, all of Garden Grove, CA; son Sean Burton Hamrick, of Las Vegas, NV; his sister Sandie Flammer Dalby; his brother Burton W. Hamrick and family of Victorville, CA; along with his three god-daughters, Francesca, Siobhan and Theodora Wicks, of Aliso Viejo, CA to whom he was also a father. He was preceded in death by his dear parents, Jesse Nixon Hamrick II, and June (Dorsett) Hamrick, of Bullhead City, AZ; along with his beloved in-laws, Nellie (Helen) Benson Burton and George William Thurwell Burton, formerly of Leeds, England and Bellflower, CA. Jesse graduated from Garden Grove HS, CA in 1965. He was General Manager to many successful car dealerships throughout his long career in Southern California and New Mexico. An avid golfer, who made his 1st Hole in One at the Willowick Golf Course in Orange County, Jesse charmed all those who met him with his wit, his instant humor, and his true compassion for others. He could growl like a bear; but with the heart of a true lion, at once tender, generous and loving. All of us who had the distinct pleasure of knowing him, are truly going to miss his support, his strength, his acute wisdom... and his growls. He lived life as all bright spirits do - to the fullest. Jesse Nixon Hamrick III is a true inspiration to those left behind; to live, truly live with passion. Donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
