RAINIER -- BARBARA JEAN left this world on May 17, 2012 in Rio Rancho but she lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by Jack Rainier her husband of 55 years as well as her daughter Shannon Johns and Shannon's husband Jason. Barbara was a devoted grandmother to her two grandchildren, Charlei and Mathias. Barbara also leaves her brother Bill Anderson who lives in Portland, Oregon and sister Gerry Anderson who lives in Eureka, California. Barbara was predeceased by parents, Franklin and Minnie (Wilhelmina DeNos) Anderson and sister Shirley Clark. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on 20 June 1932, Barbara spent most of her life in Southern California. She and her husband Jack moved to New Mexico in 1997 settling in Rio Rancho. While in California, Barbara spent many hours on art projects creating etched glass panels when she wasn't working as a hair stylist. Barbara was always an optimist who looked on the bright side of life. She took these words from poet Billy Collins to heart...
