CHAVEZ -- ARTHUR R. "PURITO" was born in Albuquerque, NM on September 20, 1940 and passed away on Thursday May 3, 2012, at the age of 71. Arthur graduated from Albuquerque High in 1959 and served proudly in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962. He was a devout Catholic and loved by many. Arthur was preceded in death by by his parents, Nick and Rebecca Chavez; brother, Nick Chavez Jr; and sister, Lucy Pacheco. He is survived by his three brothers, Richard Chavez, Gene Chavez, and Andrew Chavez; five sisters, Mary Garcia, Eleanor Shelton, Wilma Paz, Maxine Bustillos, and Linda Chavez, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who love and will miss him.
