BOWMAN -- JERRY GORDON Born to Cecil and Gladys Polsley Bowman in Minatare, Nebraska on August 4, 1926. His sisters, Audra and June now had a baby brother, the family was complete. They moved to Colorado where Jerry graduated from high school, at 17 years old he joined the Navy and later the Coast Guard. When his service years were over, his family was living in Albuquerque. He owned and operated Jerry's Refrigeration Service, installing and fixing refrigeration systems in meat packing plants, flower shops and restaurants, to name a few. He taught refrigeration classes at TVI for a time. Jerry is survived by daughter, Kathryn Roxanne Bowman Olguin; brother-in-law Jim Busby of Nashville, TN; some nieces and nephews, none living in NM; friends and neighbors, Lorraine Montoya and her son Max, Roger Johnson, Nancy Boyd, Ray Kolode, John Milano, Ardis Karler, Sal and Marilyn Montuori. Ron and Pat Grant befriended Jerry and introduced him to the Seventh Day Adventist truths found in the bible. Jerry happily accepted this new found faith and was baptized into membership of the Heights Church, where he was a deacon, faithfully fulfilling his deacon duties and working on the church's cooling systems when needed. When he disappeared he could always be found in the church's boiler room. the church family showed him their appreciation by providing money to replace his leaking roof on his home. The church members did the work themselves, the ladies painted and spruced up the inside. Praise God, a labor of love! Later, church members cleaned his yard, and etc. The final battle is over, Jesus won Jerry's heart, satan is a defeated foe! The night of May 2, 2012 Jerry went to sleep in Jesus, to await the sound of the trumpet when he will arise with all the sleeping saints, to be reunited with loved ones and all will meet Jesus in the air. Awake to a new life forever with Jesus! No more sadness, no more pain, no more disappointments, no more loneliness, no more nursing homes will be in heaven, just Jesus and great joy!! This is the blessed hope of Resurrection morning at Jesus second coming! Memorial service date to be announced later.
