PERNO -- JOSEPH Age 75, a resident of Corrales, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 after suffering with ALS for over three years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annette C Perno; sons, Patrick Anthony Perno and wife, Norma of San Antonio, TX, Kevin Matthew Perno and wife, Eva of Albuquerque, NM, Jonathan Andrew Perno and life partner Lisa Brown of Corrales, NM; grandchildren, Joseph Jeremiah, Aidan Perno-Brown, and Anissa Tatiana; and many other family and friends. Mr. Perno was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Marie Louise Perno and grandparents, Alfonso and Virginia Colucci Magnifico. He served our country in the United States Army after the Korean Conflict. Joseph was a member of San Ysidro Catholic Church. He was a distinguished employee with Albuquerque Public Schools Administration as a District Coordinator, before retiring after 32 years. Mr. Perno was a graduate with the first APD reserve class volunteering his serves for 10 years. He also was a member of the Albuquerque Kiwanis Club, the Elks Lodge in Las Vegas and Albuquerque and he was instrumental helping implement the North Valley Little League as a volunteer. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 6:00 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 26, 2012, 10:00 a.m. also at San Ysidro Catholic Church, Corrales. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
