BOWEN -- JEANNINE SKINNER Age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2012. Greatly loved by her family, she is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Leslie Bowen and Dennis Bley of Oakton, VA, Betsy and Chris Greco of Albuquerque, NM, and Sarah and Jesus Garcia of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her five granddaughters, Katrina Ford (Tommy), Kallista Bley, Liza Bley, Jessica Benowitz (Michael), and Emma Whitehurst; and brother and his spouse, Rodney and Patsy Skinner of Bradenton, FL. She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, G. Richard (Dick) Bowen. Jeannine was born October 15, 1925 in Battle Creek, MI and graduated from Evanston, IL High School in 1942. She attended Northwestern University for two years and then transferred to Mount Holyoke College in 1944, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1946, majoring in political science. After marrying, she worked for six years as a publisher for the Commerce Clearing House in Chicago, IL. Jeannine and Dick were longtime residents of Barrington, IL where they raised their girls and were active members of the community and of the United Methodist Church. They retired to Albuquerque in 1992. Jeannine was an award winning fiber artist and was a member of The Embroiderers' Guild of America (Sandia Mountains Chapter), The New Mexico Quilters Association, The Chicago North Suburban Embroiderers Guild, and the DuPage (IL) Textile Arts Guild.
