MAEZ -- LUCELLA T. Born August 7, 1936 in Coyote / Abquiu area, resided in Bernalillo, NM. She decided to follow Jesus on Sunday, April 1, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juvencio Trujillo and Filomena Salazar; brothers, Juvencio Trujillo, Jr., Phil Trujillo; and grandson Russel Shane Maez. Lucella is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jose "Chano" Maez; her children, Eugenia Archibeque and husband Victor, Melvin Maez and wife Beverly, Carla Mares and husband Jeff; her precious grandchildren, Carlos Mares and wife Vanessa, Richard Maez, Samantha Mora, Timmy Maez and fiancee April and Jolene Mares; great-grandchildren, Romeo, Hannah, Amyah Mares and Jordan Mora; her sister, Louisa Rico and husband Ramon; 16 godchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of good friends. Lucella will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. A Rosary will be recited Monday, April 9, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Urn Bearers will be Carlos Mares, Richard Maez, Timmy Maez, Manuel Trujillo and Gilbert Trujillo. Honorary Bearers will be her great-grandchildren, Romeo, Hannah and Amyah Mares and Jordan Mora.
