SALAZAR REYNA M. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque -- went to be with the Lord Monday, March 26, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank O. Salazar; children, Dan F. Salazar and wife, Karen; Ruth Blea, Diana Candelaria and husband, Pat, and Randy Salazar; grandchildren Kellie, Krystle and Daniel Salazar and wife, Amanda; Greg Blea, Rosanne and Armando Candelaria, Javier and Santiago Salazar; great-grandson Caleb Silas Candelaria and many beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Salazar was preceded in death by her son Ronald Salazar. Reyna attended the Optimist Club, Elks Club and the American Legion with her husband, Frank. She was a member and a deaconess of the 2nd Presbyterian Church of Albuquerque. Mrs. Salazar worked for and retired from A.P.S as an Educational and Library Assistant. A rosary will be recited Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 7:00 pm at French - University Chapel. A service will be held, Wednesday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m. at 2nd Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith Blvd NE with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Salazar's grandsons and her nephew, Donald Armijo. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Candelaria, Rudy Duran, Pat Candelaria, Phyllis Villescas, and Lydia Knauber. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deaconess Fund at 2nd Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, 87102 .
