FOSTER -- JEAN ANN (BRAMBLE) Age 61, passed away on February 14, 2012, in Los Alamos. She was surrounded by her family that adored her. Jean was born on September 8, 1950 and was raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico by James and Shirley (Pat) Bramble. She was a 1968 graduate of Los Alamos High School. Jeannie worked for many years doing a job that she loved so dearly. As a registered nurse at Los Alamos Medical Center she touched the lives of many patients, as well as coworkers. She often said that it was hard to call what she did a "job" because she loved doing it so much. Jeannie never met a stranger. Her love and kindness was shared with everyone she met. She always opened her home to anyone and everyone that needed a place to stay or a shoulder to lean on. Jeannie's strength and endurance was something to be admired. She was dealt a difficult hand when diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of 12. She beat the odds by having four children and living a very joyful and rewarding life. Regardless of how she felt you would never hear her complain. Jeannie's love for her family was extraordinary. She cared and loved them to no end. She is survived by her father, James Bramble; husband, John Foster; brother, William (Barbara) Bramble; children, James (Jackie) Chrobocinski, Randy (Shayna) Foster, Jennifer (Brad) King, Joseph (Erika) Foster; her eight beautiful grandsons, Tyler, Cameron, J.J., Jacob, Aidan, Blake, Riley, and Spenser; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley (Pat) Bramble. Her smile, love, and laughter will be greatly missed by so many. As she often said, "She finally got her nappy." In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jean's name to the Los Alamos High School Stoddard Scholarships for Nursing, through the LAPS Foundation.
