GOMEZ -- MACLOVIO L. (MIKE) Age 81, a resident of Albuquerque and veteran of the Korean War, died on February 18, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria M. Gomez; three children, Cynthia Gomez, Maclovio L. Gomez Jr. and Delores Stroud; five grandchildren, Victor Ray Gomez, Jason Gomez, Christopher Gomez, Melissa Gomez and Samantha Stroud; and six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Justice, Trey, Alex, Colton, and Jacob Gomez; and one brother Don Gomez of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Maclovio was known for his generosity, caring heart and sense of humor. He was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. He strived to be the best man he could be and set an example for all on how to overcome adversity. His laughter and love will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held at First Unitarian Church (3701 Carlisle Blvd. NE) on Saturday, February 25 at 5pm with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 12:45pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Maclovio's name to All Faiths Receiving Home, 1709 Moon St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 (www.allfaiths.org).
