AHLSCHWEDE -- LA JUANA Age 88, resident of Albuquerque since 1991, passed away in her home Tuesday, February 21, 2012. La Juana is survived by her daughter, Karen Patrick and her husband's children, Sharon Ahlschwede, John Ahlschwede, Barbara Gunther and Richard Ahlschwede. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Odell Hudson, and her husband, Philip Ahlschwede. Born in Childress, TX, she resided in Fort Worth, TX, Amarillo, TX and Trinidad, CO. La Juana attended Texas Women's University and worked in social work and advertising. In Trinidad, she was a business owner, a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Republican Party of Colorado. She was a longtime PEO member both in Trinidad and Albuquerque. La Juana was a member of Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque. She enjoyed travel, needlework and music. La Juana was a strong believer in the Lord, and her faith was a source of strength throughout her life. Friends may visit French Mortuary - Wyoming Chapel on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 1p.m. 4 p.m. A service will be held at French - Wyoming Chapel at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012.
