JONES -- LENA RUTH (MILLER) Died peacefully in the early morning hours of January 15, 2012, following a quick decline at the glorious age of 93. She was born in Canton, Kansas on June 16, 1918, to Lyman Legrande and Jessie Maude (Chisholm) Miller. Lena Ruth attended Canton schools through high school and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas. She married Harold E. "Hal" Jones, the love of her life, on June 16, 1940. They moved to Albuquerque in 1953, where Hal was in the insurance business until his death in 1971. She is survived by their three daughters, Harlene Geer (Hunter) of Albuquerque, Joyce Sorensen of Sioux Falls, SD, and Jane Jones of Albuquerque; three granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces, Ann (Harman) Price of Alligator Point, FL, and Marilyn (Boles) Benham of DeFuniak Springs, FL; and her nephew, Lyman "Skip" Boles of Niceville, FL. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Olive Harman, Norma Auernheimer, and Jessie Boles; and her nephew, Lyman Harman. Memorial Services will be on June 16, 2012 at the First Congregational Church.
