CHAVEZ -- GENE GILBERT Age 65, resident of Bernalillo, went home to heaven Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfonso and Lucy Chavez. Gene is survived by his loving wife Alice Chavez; daughter Tina Chavez; sons Alex and wife Patricia, Robert and wife Cindy, Andrew and wife Ana. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Brandon, Adam, Marcus and Amberly; as well as six brothers; two sisters; and extended family and friends. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, January 22nd at 5:00 p.m.; Funeral Mass on Monday, January 23rd at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo, NM. Inurnment to follow at O.L.O.S Cemetery. Pallbearers, Joaquin Garza, Gabriel Chavez, Larry Chavez, Fred Garza, Nick Romero and Pete Solis and Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
