Everett was an avid Lobo Basketball fan, having attended games for over 50 years. He also enjoyed traveling with Doris, summers spent at his Jemez cabin, model railroading, and volunteering at the information booth at the Albuquerque International Airport. An avid reader, he was an excellent source for information about the Southwest and WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Emma Ard; his beloved wife, Doris; his daughter, Susan Ard; and his sister, Helen Troutman. Everett is survived by his daughter, Nancy Kelly and husband, Dave; grandchildren, Brent Kelly and wife, Mary, Brandon Kelly and fiancee, Jessica, John and Sheri Dobias; and four great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Hospice of the Sandias for their special care. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St. NE.
