GUTIERREZ -- DAVID ESPINOSA Age 58, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away, January 8, 2012. David was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, September 23, 1953. David was a photographer, designer, and chef whose creativity and eye for beauty can be seen through the various works he has left behind. David was a successful entertainment photographer in the late 70's through 80's. Some clients included David Bowie, Knight Rider, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Billie Idol, and Scorpions. David was also a fashion designer whose style was based on his Apache Indian heritage. David's work was showcased internationally and through 150 magazines including Vogue, Oprah, In Style, Us, People, Elle, and Talent in Motion to name a few. David's creativity expanded to bringing Native American Cuisine and Authentic Mexican to the Albuquerque community when he opened Black Horse Cafe. David was an avid explorer who traveled the world for inspiration and to share his bright light. David was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Blue Haven Gonzalez January 7, 1995; father, Francisco Duran Gutierrez April 16, 2001; siblings, Margret E Gutierrez February 5, 1949, and Rose Ann E Gutierrez April 7, 1994. He is survived by his mother, Edwina Espinosa Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM; children, David Anthony Chacon Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM; step-daughter, Minka Genevieve Kelley of Los Angeles, CA; Alexandria Whitefeather Marone of Phoenix, AZ and Tess Redsky Heaslip of Katy, TX; siblings, Frank E Gutierrez of Irving, TX, Sylvia E Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM, Louisa E Gutierrez of Denver, CO; eight nieces; six nephews; eight great-nieces; ten great-nephews; many cousins and life-long friends. A Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Inglesia Hebreos 13:8, located at 2109 Williams SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102. A reception is to follow.
