RIVERA -- RON Age 53 of Los Alamos, NM. died peacefully on Wednesday December 7, 2011 in Santa Fe. He was born in Las Vegas, NM. to Manuel and Mary Rivera in 1958. He attended Mesa School, Pueblo Jr. High and graduated from Los Alamos High School, class of 1976. He worked at The Animal Humane Society in Albuquerque, and attended and graduated from Albuquerque Beauty College. He opened Rons' Hair Studio in Los Alamos, then later "Images by Ron" for over 20 years. He is survived by parents Manuel and Mary Rivera of Los Alamos; brother Mannie Rivera, Jr. and wife Rebecca; nephew Joe; and cousins, Edward, Michael, Mark, Becky, Jessica, Louise and Esteban; aunts, Agnes Rivera, Alice Thompson, Mary C De Baca, Pauline Gonzales, Aurelia and Vivian Livingston; goddaughter Natalie Jones; special friends, Phyllis Brooks, Bob and Linda Hull, Sarah, Kelly, Shay Burns Kendricks, Jackie Bebbe Elaine Branch; his loyal patrons and many other special friends-all whom he dearly loved. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday December 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos, immediately followed by The Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. A reception gathering will then follow in the church reception hall, and interment will take place at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos.
