GARCIA -- JOE LESTER Age 80, passed away peacefully at his home on November 2, 2011. "The world has lost a great man but yet the heavens have gained another one. His impact on those who knew him will not be forgotten." He is survived by his wife, Josephine Garcia; daughter, Patricia Annabell Myers; son, Robert Patrick Garcia; daughter, Virginia Coffman and her husband, John Coffman; four grandchildren, Vanessa Sprunk, Sophia Beardsley, Olivia Garcia, and Lester Bottoms; two step-grandchildren: Casey Coffman and Kimberly Jones; and three great-grandchildren: Natasha and Joseph (J.T.) Sprunk and Avalon Beardsley. His son, Henry David Garcia preceded him in death. Lester was a long time member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1989 after thirty-seven years of service. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at French ~ Lomas Chapel. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona Street S.E.
